Flute Band Church

Saturday 9th December, 2023 – 2pm -4.30pm

After the success of last years event we are back again this year with an expanded entertainment programme at the soup and Serve Senior Saturday.

The committee and members of FBC would like to bring our senior members of our community a little bit of warmth and cheer for a couple of hours on Saturday 9th December, from 2pm until approx 4.30pm in the Parochial Hall in Carlton Street.

An afternoon of fun, fellowship, food and entertainment is planned and maybe a wee surprise for our guests.

We will be serving some delicious, hot, Homemade Soup with a roll, followed up with a Sweet Mince Pie and Tea or Coffee.

This year we will be joined by the fantastic ‘Just Sing’ choir and the band will also be playing a set of Christmas Carols and well known Christmas tunes for our guests on the day.

We are unfortunately limited to catering for 150 guests on the day. If you are 60 years of age or over then this invitation is for you. If you have a family member, friend or neighbour who fits into this category then this invitation is also for them.

For anyone that is interested please contact the band through the Facebook page or contact a band member and supply names of those wishing to attend to reserve a place. We expect the places to fill up quickly so please get your name down at the earliest opportunity.

***As with last year this is a completely FREE afternoon for our guests, there will be no charge/collection or request for donation made or accepted on the day. We simply wish to give something back and bring some cheer to these valued and important people within our society.
