**********The Pride of the Raven FB mourn the passing of our Queen Elizabeth II and express our sympathies to the the entire Royal family. We have taken the decision to postpone our charity day planned for Saturday 10th September 2022 and plan to hold the event on Saturday 15th October 2022. Further details will be posted in due course.************* BAND ANNOUNCEMENT ***This year the band have decided not to have an outdoor parade. Instead we will be holding an indoor evening in Lagan-Village Rsc, on Saturday 10th September 2022. Times & more details will be added in coming weeks. The band will parade a route around East Belfast to raise money & promote its chosen charity for this year. Every year the band decides on a charity close to the band. This year we have decided to dedicate our charity in loving memory of Karen Nelson, the late wife of our band captain Alvin.Alvin sadly lost Karen very suddenly on 12th October 2021, due to a bowel disease called ‘Colitis’ Alvin and his family have chosen our charity to be Crohn’s & Colitis UK. The band will be on the streets during the day collecting for the charity, walk a route later in afternoon, then have an indoor event later that evening. We ask for all your support to help raise money for this wonderful charity.
